Happy Thanksgiving!

I apologize. I was remiss, and waaay too busy having fun over the Thanksgiving weekend, and I failed to take even one photo. Oops. So, a recap in writing is all I've got to offer. :0)

We started the Thanksgiving week with a family fued. I'm sad to report that we finished the week in the same fued. :( So, although we had a great holiday, we are a little sad that we weren't all able to be together. Maybe next year . . .

My holiday started with a nice surprise when I was called off work on Wednesday night! It was a little short notice, and I didn't get the call until I was 10 minutes from the hospital, but hey, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right?! I will take that little gift in whatever package it comes! I turned around, and was able to surprise Kent and Taylee by coming home just after 7 pm! This made for a much more relaxed morning, because we had to be at Grandma and Grandpa Judson's at 12:30 on Thursday for a quick pre-dinner birthday celebration for Kira and Cody. Who ever heard of cake and ice cream before Thanksgiving dinner?! It sure was yummy!

Dinner at Grandma Judson's was delicious as always, and we were able to relax and enjoy some family time and some football before we headed up to Nana and Poppi's. When we got to my parents, everyone was just finishing up dinner and working on the sick post-meal phase of the evening. We exacerbated the sickness by wrestling with all the small kids. Taylee had such a blast playing with her cousins Aden and Xavier all weekend. She was a little sad she couldn't play with her cousin Kaydence, and asked me repeatedly if Kaydence could come "next week for Thanksgiving."

Friday had us up early for some Black Friday shopping. Not early early, but 10ish, when there are stills deals to be had, but less risk of being trampled. :0) After getting our fill of shopping we spent the afternoon relaxing with the family, sharing a few drinks, and EATING AGAIN! Mom made ham and scalloped potatoes. Yummm!! Beer Kent even made an appearance, much to my family's delight!

Saturday we split up so that the mommy's could go see Twilight. I am so grateful that Kent is willing to take Taylee so I can enjoy the show! (Mostly as a great excuse for him NOT to see the show :) While us ladies enjoyed Twilight, the daddy's and kids got to enjoy "Wreck it Ralph." Taylee fell asleep 10 minutes into the show, then was surprised when it ended 5 minutes after she woke up. Silly girl! Luckily her nap provided her with lots of energy to play, play, play with her cousins all afternoon! We closed out the evening with a trip to see the Christmas lights in Layton park. We had a great time, and were sad to say farewell to Great Grandpa, Aunt Ginger, Skip, Aden, Garrett, and Xavier. Hopefully we will be seeing them soon with a trip to Denver for a Broncos playoff game!
