Seven Months Old!!

Happy 7 month Birthday Taylee Bug!!

These are some fun facts about you at 7 months old:

-You sit up by yourself

-You roll front to back, AND back to front

-You still take baths in your infant tub cuz the big tub seems to freak you out ;)

-Your laugh still sounds like a fake cough (except your sweet giggle that we hear every so often!)

-You love your rice cereal and oatmeal

-You are LEARNING to love your sweet potatoes, green beans, sweet peas, and squash

-You DON'T like carrots

-You take your best (and longest!) naps in your carseat

-You love to put blankets, burp cloths, clothes, etc. over your face

-You are sweet, funny, silly, and most of all ADORED!

Fun with Baking!

This could be a good reason to do my baking while Taylee is sleeping. It may have been messy, but she was happy long enough for me to finish a yummy coffee cake. I am sure Kent wishes I had spent my time and energy making peanut butter bars. However, there is not anything in the world that will keep her happy long enough to complete THAT project. He will have to take Taylee duty to score peanut butter bars!!

But just look at how proud she is of her handiwork!!
We tried out a new hairstyle on Taylee, after a little encouragement from Adrienne. She was very cute in her faux-hawk, but slightly vampire-like.

Skyler's Birthday

Skyler turned 14 in January. We had two parties, because Skyler and his buddies are TEENAGERS, and much too cool to have a party with the parents. On Friday Skyler, Saxton, Nathan, Nate, and Bean went to Sparetime. They bowled, mini-golfed, and played laser-tag. I don't have any photos to post, because they wouldn't be caught DEAD with us! They said they had a great time, though.

We had a family party at our house on Sunday, where we opened presents, ate CAKE AND ICE CREAM, and the kids ran around and played Wii. A good time was had by all. Skyler was all about technology for his birthday this year. He got video games, a new controller for his PS3, a bluetooth for his PS3, and lots of GIFT CARDS. And of course, some new clothes. He finally seems to care about clothes! He won't just wear any old thing we buy him anymore. Plus, he got a gift certificate for GOLF lessons this summer. He has been golfing for a few years now, and seems to really enjoy it. I can't wait to post some pix of him on the course this summer. Bring on the warm weather!!

Rolling Over!

No, this is not a photo of mommy inflicting the dreaded tummy time on Taylee. This is a photo of Taylee AFTER she ROLLED from her back to her tummy, for the very first time!! She mastered rolling from her tummy to her back when she was just 4 weeks old, but has only just figured out this trick. We are so proud of her!

Spring Cleaning

We were supposed to clean and organize our storage room this weekend. This is what happened instead . . .

Yes, that is indeed John Elway behind Kent. John has been living in our basement for many years now, but after this cleaning endeavor, he will be joining the BAX Global team (Grandpa's office). He will be used to torment all the NON-Bronco loving co-workers at grandpa's office. He will be sorely missed in our home, but, alas, he is going to a better place . . .

Skyler was assigned the task of keeping Taylee happy. Unfortunately, due to her cold, this was impossible. Maybe that's why the project was never completed?? Well, there's always next weekend.

Can you say SPOILED?!

Taylee got a HUGE package in the mail this weekend! Her cousin Kaydence sent her tons of clothes that she no longer fits in. As you can see, she is tickled pink by the smorgasborg of new delights!! However, she was not impressed that mommy kept putting that darn hat on her head. It was quite an adventure to catch a picture of her with it on. See that box behind Taylee? Yes, it was FULL of clothes. What a lucky girl!! Thanks Ryan, Tota, Krystle, and Kaydence!

I couldn't resist this picture of Taylee with her crazy hair after she pulled off her hat.

This is Taylee's favorite new addition to her wardrobe. It's still a little big, but we couldn't resist trying it on her. She will be set for the Broncos season for the next 2 years!!

Grandma Deb's Birthday!

Grandma Deb's Birthday fell on Super Bowl Sunday this year! So, she was lucky enough to have a two day celebration. Well, it would have been a much bigger celebration if the Broncos had made it into the Super Bowl (or even close to it!), but hey, I think they were lucky to win even one game this season. On Saturday night we went to dinner at The Pie! Mmmmm! We took Taylee while she was awake, which was a birthday wish of grandma's. Kent and I always try and dine while she is sleeping. It's just easier that way. Fortunately, she was on her best behavior during dinner, and she sat on the bench seat between us, playing with a plastic plate. Who knew dinnerware made such great entertainment? I wish I had taken a picture of her, playing with a plate nearly as big as she is. It was pretty darn cute!

After dinner we had cake and grandma opened presents. Once again Taylee was a star pupil. However, she was much too busy socializing to be bothered to eat her bottle. I think she wanted cake!

And So it Begins . . . Again!

Wow, it's already harder than I thought it would be!! Just getting a cute background on my blog took hours. I'm pretty sure I never would have accomplished it if it weren't for Jamie. Thanks Jai for both designing, and installing my background! So, now that we're really up and running, let's get some pictures posted.

And so it Begins . . .

Well, I have done it. Much to Kent's chagrin, I am now a blogger. So many of my friends are bloggers, that I had to join in the fun. We don't have a lot of excitement in our little world, but I really wanted a way to chronicle our lives. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Or the cute, as the case may be. This will be our living proof that we actually DID do fun things! So, I will try to keep up with it, and post here and there. Plus, this way I can share photos of Skyler and Taylee as they grow up. I wish I had done this a while ago, like say, 7 months ago . . . For a little while I may post both current stuff, and photos and anecdotes from the past several months. So here goes . . .
